Living your life at your best

Some people would love this title and other would hate it, why ?

Living at your best has a different connotation for everybody for some people it means "real stress" : maybe they were raised that way and failure was not allowed.

For some people it is a "must", failure is not an option, they have become perfectionists with or without the influence of their parents.

And for others : "living your life at your best" is more like "a fun challenge".

For me today, it is a fun challenge, but it has not always been that way, and that's why I realize the importance of it and want to share this with you.

Today, while I was driving my sun to school I shared this with my sun :" Do you know what the most important virtue is ?" "Being able to acknowledge, while laughing, that you made a mistake and that one will do it differently next time."

Laughing helps you to not take yourself to seriously, you are not perfect, you are only human; like michael Jackson wrote in his song "will you be there ?" - I am only human"

When you are able to laugh at your mistakes, you can easily take new advice for granted, and you will be able to see improvement as a fun challenge.

Perfectionism, however, makes that you are too hard on yourself but also too hard on others; mistakes or missteps are unacceptable. in that case: one actually does not allow himself to be "human"

In life we need time to become what we ultimately want to become or create.

Time is a necessary step between desire and creation.

Therefore the biggest gift you can give to yourself is to acknowledge that you are human and you will do the best you can today, to ultimately arrive where you want to be.

Reflecting on this, how will this approach impact your life ?

What is your next step ?
